ABOUT PROJECT AAWAAZ

Project Aawaaz is a Delhi-based student training organization that works to supplement the existing school curriculum with training in soft skills like public speaking, critical thinking and general awareness. The current scholastic curriculum lacks a direct and concerted focus on developing the personality; communication skills and critical reasoning of students- skills that are the most crucial when they go out in the real world and face interviews, presentations and other challenges. This is where we come in. We provide curriculum and instructors to schools who conduct workshops to enhance these skills in students. We also have independent assessment modules that track the growth of each child in individual student profiles that are shared with parents and schools to monitor the specific strengths and opportunities of each child. Aawaaz was started in 2013 with the vision to ensure that the students of our country graduate with the ability and desire to be leaders who drive the nation forward tomorrow. Aawaaz is the brain child of Vibhor Mathur and Tarang Tripathi – 2 passionate educators who have been working in the field of education for the last 4 years.

Our kinesthetic-learning modules and curriculum have been designed and approved by experts from different backgrounds – including Principals of top Delhi schools, education researchers and experts from the University of Sussex, Stanford University and even the Chief Editor of NCERT.

All our facilitators are trained professionals who have been working in the field of teaching and curriculum design in some of the top schools of the country.

In the last two years, we have worked with over 3000 children from some of the premier institutions in the country including Scindia School Gwalior, Mother’s International School Delhi, Sanskriti School, Zee Group of Schools, Genesis Global School, Raffles International, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya etc. Currently we run operations in 5 cities – Delhi, Chandigarh, Meerut, Gwalior and

Varanasi. We also run an NGO in this sector that has worked with 110 low-income schools across Delhi, as well as run successful projects in Nainital, Bhopal and Rajasthan. Our Co-founders Vibhor and Tarang have also been appointed to the School Management Committee of Mount Litera Zee School Gwalior, to work for the growth of the schools and overall development of students.

We also organize various events and competitions in the sphere of education to provide students of all age groups a platform to come together and display their skills. We organized Delhi’s largest education fair- The Project Aawaaz Showcase- that saw a participation of over 2000 students in different events, we organize debate tournaments for schools like the Shri Ram School, Mother’s

International School, Scindia School and the Delhi Rotary Club. We work closely with the Debating Society of India and are involved in organizing international debates and seminars at the school and governmental level.

Our work has received a lot of media attention and we have been featured in The Indian Express, Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, Scoop Whoop, India Today and many local newspapers in Chandigarh and Gwalior. We have been invited to speak at various conclaves on issues of educationand social entrepreneurship such as TedX Bhilwara, Enactus Business Summit, The Climber Conclave, and St Stephens College.
