Month –April & May

Classes- Little Millennium

Beginning of the New Session is the most important and valuable time of School It’s the time when each one of us enters the portals of School with new Dreams and Hopes. The new session promises a lot of interesting events and activities for the children, which cater to the overall development of the child. The unique Millennium Learning System trains children to widen their intellectual boundaries. It enables them to enjoy the freedom to experiment and embrace abundant leadership qualities. Every month, a number of activities will be conducted for the students to showcase their innate talent.

19th April 2016 – All About Me: The theme ‘Myself’ emphasizes on the incorporation of the values of ‘Togetherness’. Students need to tell something about themselves to become familiar and be friendly with each other.

22nd April 2016 – Care For Mother Earth (ISA Activity):Earth Day is celebrated to create awareness about the need to save our planet-‘EARTH’. It is also the time to thank nature for all its bounties. The students will celebrate Earth Day in their own unique style. They will make a Model of the Earth in School by Sponge Painting, to show love and respect for the Mother Earth. The material for the activity will be provided in the School.

 To add more colours and fun to the day, they need to come dressed in shades of blue and green.

 

 

                                                                                                                              

12th May 2016 - Meet My Family (ISA Activity):

“Having someone to go is Home,

Having someone to love is Family,

Having both is a Blessing.”

An array of activities will empower the children to let their peer know more about their Family Members. The Students need to bring a Family photograph to make a Family Photo Frame and rest of the material will be provided in the School.

12th May 2016 – Pop Culture (ISA Activity): Personality means an individual’s tendency to behave, think and react in a particular way. People vary in terms of their appearance, personalities and conduct. The students will prepare Cartoon Cards and describe them. The Students need to bring a photograph of any one of the famous Indian Cartoon Character.

Month –April &May

Classes- I-V

19th April 2016 – Laugh Out Loud (Classes I–V): Humour is the most effective and important ingredient to spice up the dish of life. It is one thing which binds all of us and generates a positive and happy environment. So Cheer Up and spice up the day with a touch of humour by watching a short film of Charlie Chaplin.

21th April 2016 – Special Assembly on Heritage Day – ISA Activity (Classes I–V): A Special Assembly will be conducted by Classes V-A & B. The Students will tell about the facets of Heritage which include Forts, Dances, Music, Festivals, Flora and Fauna, Textile and Craft Work etc.

22nd April 2016 –Earth Day- Earth Day is celebrated to create awareness about the need to save our planet Earth and thank nature for all its bounties.  A series of activities will be conducted to celebrate the Special Day.

22nd April 2016 – Play Bingo – ISA Activity (Classes I & II): The Students will play Bingo of words based on environment in the class.

22nd April – Design Your Wall – ISA Activity (Classes III-V): To spread awareness about the importance of conserving our Mother Earth. TheStudents will design the Posters, Flash Cards, Sign Cards, Collage, Slogans, etc to display it on the wall  to express their love for the planet.

25th  - 29th April 2016 – Millennium Got Talent (Classes I - V): Our School is committed to nurture the inherent potential and talent of each child. Every child will get an opportunity to perform the activity of their choice for e.g. Acting/dancing/music-instrumental or vocal/poems/rhymes etc.  Parents are requested to help their ward for the same.

The Students will be judged on the following parameters -: Content, Presentation, Confidence and Props.

Note: Only Traditional and Folk dances can be performed. Children participating in dance must ensure that they bring the CD in advance and deposit it to their Class Teacher. The schedule is:-

25th April 2016 – Classes I

26th April 2016 – Class II

27th April 2016 – Class III

28th April 2016 – ClassI V

29th April 2016 – Class V

2nd May –7th May 2016 – Prim & Proper Week (Classes I & II): School is a place for holistic development of Students. Good habits are formed during the formative years in School which last a lifetime. To promote a feeling of unity and discipline among the Students, Prim & Proper week will be conducted. The Students to come neatly dressed for the same.

The Students will be assessed on the following parameters -: Neat & Clean Uniform, Trimmed Nails, Polished Shoes and basic etiquettes.

2nd May – 7th May 2016 – Crunch & Sip Week (Classes III-V): To inculcate healthy eating habits and Table Manners, the Students need to bring healthy food items in their tiffins throughout the week. Day wise schedule for the week will be:-

Day 1-Table Layout (Students need to bring a Table Mat, Spoon, Fork and Napkin for the Activity.)

Day 2-Yummy Green Veggies (Students need to bring Green Vegetables in their tiffin.)

Day 3- Say Yes To Healthy Food (Students need to bring Healthy Food Items.)

Day 4-Mouth-Watering Fruits and Juices (Students need to bring atleast two Fruits along with one Healthy Drink of their choice.)

Day 5- Value of Nutritious Food (Students need to bring Sprouts in their tiffin.)

Day 6-Culmination of Crunch & Sip Week (It will be Party time for the Students. They need to carry healthy food items in their tiffins.)

The students will prepare Entertainer Cards (Dancer, Musician, Comedian etc.), Athlete Cards and write 5 Adjectives to describe them. The Students need to bring a photograph of any one of the Famous Personalities who have contributed a lot to India’s Culture.

21th April 2016 – World Heritage Day - ISA Activity: A plethora of activities will be organized to mark the importance of the day.

 21th April 2016 -- Crossword On Heritage (Classes VI – VIII)

21th April 2016 – Integrated Project On Heritage (Classes IX & X): The project will be discussed in the class by the Social Science Facilitator.

22nd April 2016 – Special Assembly on Earth Day – ISA Activity (Classes VI – VIII): Earth Day is celebrated to create awareness about the need to save our planet Earth and thank nature for all its bounties.  A Special Assembly will be conducted by class VI-A Students to mark the occasion.

 

30th April 2016 – Special Assembly on Labour’s Day (Classes VI – VIII): Labour Day is celebrated to honor the Support Staff. It is indeed true, that the School cannot function without their support and contribution.  A Special Assembly will be conducted by VI-B to mark the occasion. Each class will prepare a Snack in School for all the Support Staff. The list of ingredients for the same will be sent shortly by the Class Teacher.

5th May 2016 – Family Frame – ISA Activity (Classes VI – VIII):

 “Having someone to go is  Home,

9th May 2016 – Speed Up (Classes VI – VIII): Every mechanic has a toolbox full of tools. In the same way, Students too have dictionary of words. Vocabulary is one of the most important language tool, which is constantly growing and keeps on filling with the new words each day. The English Facilitator will give a topic to each group, where Students will be asked to find out the meaning of minimum 8 new words.

12th May 2016 – Pop Culture – ISA Activity (Classes VI-X): ): Personality means an individual’s tendency to behave, think and react in a particular way. People vary in terms of their appearance, personalities and conduct.

The students will prepare Indian Legends Cards, Politician Card and describe their contribution in that particular field. The Students need to bring a photograph of any one of the Famous Personalities who have contributed a lot to India’s Culture.
